Google Chrome is Google’s product
and the world's most used and popular Internet Browser. It is a cross-platform internet
browser developed by Google and it was launched in the year 2008 for
Microsoft Windows, and was later ported to Linux, macOS, IOS, and Android. The
browser is also the main component of Google Chrome OS, where it serves as the
platform for web applications. Most of Chrome's source code comes from Google's
open-source that is known as OS, Chromium project, but Chrome is licensed as hold
public domain software.
The Web-Kit was the original rendering engine, but
Google finally angled it to create the Blink engine. All Chrome alternatives
except for iOS now use Blink. As of July 2019, Stat-Counter evacuation that Chrome
has a more 70% globally browser market share on traditional PCs and more than 60.34%
share across all platforms. Because of this success, Google has expanded the "Chrome"
brand name to other products:
- Chrome OS
- Chromecast
- Chromebook
- Chromebit
- Chromebox
- Chromebase.
